“Walls” (in inverted commas in the original post) are exclusionary walls.

Not all walls are exclusionary walls — e.g., Robert Frost’s mending wall.

The Wall of Humanity is a mending wall in Frost’s sense: a heartfelt protest against all exclusionary walls.
